Results - Post 5 ​

Hello again!

Exciting news! We have now used meettrax for 3 additional meets! In the last couple meets we used our mobile apps to run all the field events as well! View the meet on meettrax!.

In this series of posts we will be stepping through how meettrax aims to make meets better. We will progress through the features in roughly the same order that you would be using them in real life.

Viewing Results ​

It is important to have a quick way for users to get right to the results they care about. There are several ways we are accomplishing this.

Full Meet Results ​

On the full meet results page, all results are shown. They can be viewed either by event or by athlete. We allow for quick filtering of event and athlete names. We also provide quick filtering. For example, filter down to only see your team's results for the boys:

Per-Athlete Results ​

Following athletes provides a quick way to stay up to date on the athletes you care about. You can then easily view their profile to see their results either by meet or by event.

Real-Time Results ​

Providing real-time results at meets is one of our top priorities. The benefits touch every aspect of the meet - from excitement levels of the spectators to providing meaningful information to the competitors and coaches.

Timed Events ​

In order to get real-time results for any timed event we must integrate with the timing systems. Meettrax has successfully integrated with FinishLynx, FlashTiming, and Eagle Eye Timing (others coming soon) which allows us to get a real-time feed of results information. After installing the meettrax agent, the results information will be automatically uploaded and posted for viewing on the web or in our app immediately as each race finishes. If the race has multiple sections or heats we will show a real-time leaderboard as well. Leave this page open and it will update automatically as results are posted!

Track & Field - Field Events ​

Meettrax has the goal to work with all timed sports. This means we are committed to working with the needs of each sport as needed. For track, getting real-time results for the field events is particularly challenging. There are many events occuring at the same time and often you have volunteers helping. We knew that we had to create the most simple, user-friendly tool as possible in order to be successful.

In order to accomplish this goal we have written our own custom field event runners that are available inside of our app. The meet director generates access codes that grant access to run the desired events. The official then simply downloads and opens the meettrax app and provides the code. They are then taken directly to the meet where they can begin officiating their event. As results are entered the spectators are given real-time event results.

The horizontal field event watcher shows the most recent activity, current leaderboard, and all attempt details.

The vertical field event watcher shows the spectator the current bar height, athletes jumping at the height, how many athletes are still in and how many are yet to enter. Spectators can also view the current leaderboard - which supports real-time placement based on cleared heights and misses! And of course, all attempt details are provided.

Likes ​

Meettrax wants to build excitement and positivity! One way we are doing this is to allow users to "like" results. This simply allows athletes and fans to give athletes a virtual thumbs-up for their results! The athlete will then get notified that someone has liked their result.
